The hearing of the case Ajmal Mehdi v. CHRO/Associated Press DOCKET NO. HHB-CV-11-5015298S about journalism was done at the New Britain Superior Court by Judge Cohen. Associated press did not appear and neither did any of their attorneys show up to represent them. The Human Rights and Oppurtunities was represented by David L. Kent and associate of Mr. Kent. The arguement was on the topic of why the Associated Press does not fully represent the miniority groups of America and various political partys other than the generic Democratic and Republican. The major issue discussed in this case was why other major media outlets of CT also do not give coverge to the minority. There should be a law that forces news agencies to follow every news story in its state regardless if who is publishing it. When the topic came to be the Abrahamic monotheistic faith that from our forefathers Abraham had said that journalists are like angels of god who are supposed to report any news story or events as they occur without any false information included for justice which is the social and political movement of humanity for Human Fealty. Judge Cohen then got up and walked out of the courtroom.

New political party looks to foster business environment in Bristol

BRISTOL — In an effort to create a new political party strictly for what Ajmal Mehdi calls change based on “human fealty,” he and a volunteer gathered petition signatures Thursday on North Main Street.
Mehdi, the party founder, and volunteer Charles Turner told curious passers-by near the closed DFO market about “The People Party.”
“We want to bring change in American politics based on human fealty, which means equal representation of humanity without biases for moral and family values,” Mehdi said.
So far, he said the party’s name has been registered with the Connecticut Secretary of the State’s Office and he is in the process of collecting signatures from citizens.
“They (state officials) said I had to get 157 signatures,” Mehdi said. “So far we have collected 200 signatures but our goal is to get 2,000.”
The signatures will have to be verified to ensure the person is eligible to vote and resides in the city.
“The People Party is very concerned about the government policies and human rights which are the foundation of fair trade, freedom, justice and peace,” said Mehdi. “We believe freedom is the birthright of all living things.”
Mehdi said one of his goals is to create a business environment in Bristol.
“There are hundreds of people collecting unemployment, or living in shelters because there are no jobs,” he said. “Our party has an open door to anyone who wants to get their voice heard.”
Although it is not clear what Mehdi’s next step will be, he said his only job is to bring awareness to those involved in the political arena, on what life is really like for the homeless and unemployed in the city of Bristol.
